Annual Meeting

The Southeastern Hackney Association will be holding our meeting at 9:00 Saturday,

February 27, 2010 . 

I would like for everyone to pick 2 committees to serve on this year.

1. Membership                                    4.Publicity/Newsletter

2. Youth                                              5. High Point

3. Fund Raising                                   6. Jackpot Added Money Classes

We will take about 30 to 45 minutes for each group to get together and make plans for one project for 2010.  You will need to come up with the following for each committee:

1. What is the activity?

2. Who is going to do the activity?                

3.  How are you going to do the activity?

4.  Where are you going to do the activity?

5.  When are you going to do the activity?
6.  Why will this activity help build the SEHA?

At the end of this time we will begin our annual meeting. We will break for lunch at around 11:30 until 1:00 .  When we return at 1:00 we will have our “Round Table Training Discussion” this will last about 1 hour.
For the Round Table Training Discussion, I would like for everyone to bring/share with your fellow horsemen/women something from your experience as a pony trainer, owner, or exhibitor.  We all have little things that work for us that might be the thing that would work for someone else. Example:
Someone out there knows how to make the little braids for the weanlings and cobtail ponies ---Please bring the material and teach us how.
Someone needs to teach me (Lib) how to set up my 2 year old to show in hands.

How do you break your foal to lead?

How do you hook your pony or I have a story about how not to hook it!

Have you ever used a broom in halter breaking your foals? 

What do you use to make that buggy look like it is brand new when it is not? 

Please bring the things that you will need to show us your tricks!   

 

Around 2:00 we will finish our annual meeting! You need to be thinking about a list of officers to nominate for 2010!

 

We will break around 4 to get ready for our evening activities.  REMEMBER TO BRING ITEMS FOR THE AUCTION!!!!

 

6:00-6:30 Cocktails in the bar

6:30-7:30 dinner ($25.00) NEED TO RSVP TO CAROLYN  WHITFIELD BY 2/23/2010

Salad     10 oz. NY strip steak (grilled)    Baked potato / sour cream and butter

Green vegetable   Rolls and butter     Cheesecakes w/ assorted toppings

Coffee and ice tea
